Ashkenaz-2006
Sep. 5th, 2006 11:54 amSooo, the party seems to be over. Yesterday it was the grand finale opening with klezmer parade in the downtown (coincidentially, it was labour day here, therefore it was not the only marching company in the streets of Toronto on that day) and followed by a gig with Yasmin Levy and All-of-Us-(человек 20)-band performance. The after-party followed, of course.
The time during my stay in Canada seemed to be shrinking from one day to another, finally leaving me dissolved in the chaotic movement of emotions and impressions. Exactly like in Indian ragas.
Of course, I have to digest it all, i.e. KlezKanada, Ashkenaz... but even now I can say that for me it was one of the most vivid events of the year.
Added some photos on my web-site. You are welcome to have a look at them.
