Even more enjoyable than the NYT reviewer states – the cast is an amazing group of talents with music on a par with Fiddler [On The Roof] – a simple set that evokes the Shtetl, a small band that sounds like a full orch., and the supertitles makes us all Yiddish hearers (viewers)
If Tevye had died and had one marriageable daughter with this problem -- Hershele (Mike Burstyn) is your man to be the Yiddish Musical legend.
Plaudits to Eleanor Reissa and Zalmen Mlotek--among others for this brilliant work.
Would only that the run would be extended.
