Don't know yet how to post the links to you and scottishkot in my journal, so, I will just respond here.

I found out about Khrennikov's death from the obituary in Boston Globe, about three days late, started looking at Russian online news, aka gazeta.ru, found nothing. About a week after a friend of mine, properly american, asked me about him as he read another obituary in some obscure Canadian newspaper. I responded along the lines of your post.

I've been singing "Chto tak serdtse rastrevozheno" for a while among friends...
