Calling all Litvaks!
Dr. Zisl-Yeysef (Dmitri) Slepovitch, ethnomusicologist, folklorist and klezmer formerly of Minsk, Belarus, will lecture in Yiddish on the topic:
"Yiddish Music in Belarus" which is based on the extensive fieldwork that he conducted with Prof. Nechama (Nina) Stepanskaya, ז''ל.
He will also show clips of video interviews and will play samples of his findings as well.
"Di Litvakes: Bloyz Farlorene Land fun Muzik. Dertseylung fun dem forshung in Vaysrusland fun Dmitri (Zisl-Yeysef) Slepovitch un Nina (Nechama) Stepanskaya, ז''ל."
