9/11 2008 in NYC

Spent several hours on Manhattan today. People looked emotional. A 9/11 survivor was telling his story surrounded by a large crowd. Fire department officers in parade uniform were walking all across Broadway and neighboring streets. A manifestation demanding investigation of the 9/11 events quickly filled the intersection of Broadway and Ann street, increasing their roar each minute. Just down at New York Stock Exchange a rock concert was filmed by several TV cameras. One's eyes could not hide anywhere not seeing police patrols.
And we were crawling through the crowd and absorbing that tragic-solemn mood spread throughout the air of New York.
